We have organized “The Environmental Response” symposium, focused on the Keap1-Nrf2 system, in Japan once every few years. It has been 5 years since the last Environmental Response IV symposium, and in the intervening period, the Nrf2 field has seen many interesting developments.

The fifth symposium “The Environmental Response V /17th JBS Biofrontier Symposium” will be held in September 12-14, 2019 in Sendai, Japan. The purpose of the symposium is to exchange and discuss the most recent cutting edge research in the field of Keap1 and Nrf2. I would be most honored if you could find the time to actively participate, and share the recent studies with outstanding Nrf2 researchers from around the world. The symposium will be divided into five sessions plus a poster session:

1) Molecular Mechanisms
2) Cancer
3) Metabolism & Neurology
4) Inflammation & Aging
5) Therapy & Related Research
